No I'm Not Dead

It's Time for BEN 10 Alien Force!!!!

Friday is the first episode of the new Ben 10 series Ben 10 Alien Force. My boys can't hardly wait. For the past month or so, the boys have really started wanting to watch Ben 10. And those of you that are parents know, that means Susan and I have started to watch Ben 10 as well. It also fairly entertaining for us older kids as well.

Here's a brief history of the show. Ben, his cousin Gwen, and Grandpa Max travel around in Max's old RV, aptly nicknamed "The Rust Bucket". In the first episode, Ben (pictured above) , Gwen and Max went out for the summer and on the first night out, they stopped to camp. While camping, Ben went for a walk, and saw what he thought was a shooting star. The star crashed onto Earth, and come to find out, it wasn't a star at all. It was an escape pod and when Ben went to check it out, onto his arm jumped the Omnitrex. The Omnitrex is a watch like device that allows Ben to change into 10 alien super hero types. He then uses these aliens along with Gwen and Max to fight for good against the bad guys.

Here are a couple of the 10 aliens that Ben can become.

7 Interesting Things About Myself (Interesting is a subjective opinion)

Well, here goes again. Maybe I will be more proactive with keeping my blog updated than before. Susan tagged me to tell you 7 interesting things about myself.

1. My family & friends call me Harve, my mom and dad call me Jimmy, and I go by Jim at work. I someties get very confused about whcih name I am using. Susan really labors to call me anything other than Harve.

2. I am originally from Asheville, North Carolina.

3. I went to High Scool at A.C Reynolds High School. Home of the Rockets!!! I played football, track, wrestling, and was a cheeleader my senior year in high school.
4. My favorite music group is the Canadian Rock Trio - RUSH. I have seen them in concert numberous times. I have been trying for the last 12 odd years to get Susan to attend with me, but she seems to keep finding a way out.

5. I was head coach of the 6 & under coach pitch Sidewinders in Summer of 2007. My oldest son Avery was on that team. I found that it was a lot of work, but also was very rewarding.

6. I have an odd sense of humor. I like Monthy Python, Airplane movies, etc., and find myself laughing at movies when nobody else is. This particulary embarasses Susan when we are watching a movie in a public theater.

7. I have flown in a blackhawk helicopter around Nashville with the doors wide open. This was a great experience. In 2003 I attended the Tennessee Government Management Institute, and one of our bonding activities was to take off in a Blackhawk from Smyrna, and fly counterclockwise from Smyrna areound Nashville and back at sunset. It was the coolest thing!!
